EYE CANDY | MANDY C FIT: MOTIVATING THE MASSES
ARE YOU SHOCKED HOW POPULAR YOU HAVE BECOME ON SOCIAL MEDIA? Shocked wouldn’t really be the right word, I’m more grateful that I’m able to reach out to a larger audience immediately and share my routines and experiences. I love hearing feedback from people that see or like what I’m doing, and I love having the opportunity to work with some really amazing people that I never thought would even notice me.
HOW HAS SOCIAL MEDIA ALLOWED YOU TO BUILD YOUR BRAND AND CONNECT WITH NEW CLIENTS? It’s
still all so new to me, so I’m still learning how to reach out to people in different ways each day, but being able to reach a lot more people, in a shorter period of time and basically just being able to share what I’m doing with so many new faces has opened the door for a lot of opportunities I feel maybe
I never would have had if I wasn’t able to have connect with everyone out there in social media land!!
HOW DOES IT FEEL KNOWING THAT YOU INSPIRE MILLIONS OF WOMEN ACROSS THE COUNTRY? If I can inspire 1 woman I’m a happy girl. I’m grateful for anyone I can inspire and help make their life better in any way, shape or form.
ARE YOUR WORKOUTS
AVAILABLE ONLINE? I have a lot
in the works right now and I’m putting together some online material where people can get daily workouts and meal ideas. I check my DM’s and Mail as much as possible so I always try and help anyone out who needs any advice or help with anything!
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO RELAX WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING? I’ve always been told I’m an “old soul”. I’m actually starting to believe it considering when I’m not working, working out, or cooking I can be found either reading by the pool, or in bed watching a show. I’m not
a big party girl, so to get me out of the house is a tough task.  
WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST TO LISTEN TO WHEN YOU’RE
WORKING OUT? All depends on my mood or my workouts. Anything from Chris Brown, to Beyoncé to Drake or Rihanna.
YOU ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE’S #WCW EVERY WEEK. HOW DO YOU HANDLE ALL OF THE ATTENTION LOL? I’m pretty shy and it still surprises me when I see people post stuff like that about me. All I can say
is I’m thankful for each and every person that appreciates me and or what I do.
YOUR BODY IS ON POINT, BUT WHAT BODY PART OR AREA DO YOU WANT
TO IMPROVE? I’m a perfectionist in every aspect of my life and I always am looking to improve things for and about myself. Some days I may look in the mirror and not
love what I see in certain places, in which case I’ll adjust my diet and work that much harder. At this particular time I’m working on toning my legs more!!!
WHAT KIND OF DIET ARE YOU ON? I’m all about flexible dieting. Some days I eat more carbs. Some days more fats. I truly believe
in balance. When I competed, I deprived myself and body of a
lot, and it took me a LONG time
to learn how to be ok with eating balanced again. I just believe in not restricting. Want pizza then eat some. Want cake, eat that too! Just make sure you have food like that in moderation if your goal is to stay lean!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?
I love me some pizza! Well, and pancakes. Maybe I could figure out a way to combine the 2....
WHERE DOES YOUR SELF- CONFIDENCE COME FROM? I come from a very loving family. My parents always showed me right from wrong and truly helped me become the woman I am today. I’m grateful every day for everyone in my life and everything I have.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION PEOPLE HAVE ABOUT YOU? That I’m outgoing and love the spotlight. In reality I am the shyest person you’ve
ever met. I keep to myself and do me. However, when I’m in front of a camera or teaching a class or on stage I thrive. A part of me comes alive and I just shine!!
WHAT’S A LITTLE-KNOWN FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU? That I absolutely LOVE to cook. It’s such a passion of mine.
I make these amazing protein pancakes that I dubbed “Mandy- cakes” that would have your mouth watering. I also can cook a mean streak. I also happen to be extremely funny... Well at least I think so
DID YOU FACE ANY OBSTACLES IN YOUR LIFE DURING YOUR JOURNEY
OF HEALTH AND WELLNESS? If you only knew how many times I’ve been told I can’t and how many times I’ve been knocked down you wouldn’t believe it. I’ve worked my entire life to be where I am today and I still struggle and hit obstacles day to day. I am far from where I want to be, but I also have come a long long way. I’m just extremely grateful to be able to share my experiences, strengths and hopes with everyone.
WHEN YOU GET DOWN OR DON’T
FEEL MOTIVATED WHERE DO YOU FIND MOTIVATION OR INSPIRATION? I have the most adorable niece and nephew. They think the world of me. Anytime I get down on myself I think, how they would look at me if I just gave up and threw in the towel. That’s more than enough to get me out of bed and back on the grind.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE
TO WOMEN WHO WANT TO MAKE
A CHANGE IN THEIR LIFE? Take it 1 step at a time. Don’t try and do
10 different things at once. If you’re trying to get in shape, maybe just make small changes
in your diet and go for a walk.
You don’t need to run to the gym and cut all the carbs out of your life!!! The biggest thing for me,
is consistency. Rome wasn’t built over night. While it’s always nice to see fast results in any aspect of life, slow and steady always wins the race and is more maintainable!
