Darius Jackson, better known by his stage
name Nastyelgic, is
an American hip hop recording artist, label owner and entrepreneur from the state of New Jersey. In 2015 he gained recognition for his work with the Forbes Music Entertainment record label.
In early 2015, Nastyelgic secured a distribution deal for his record label Tilt Shift Records with indie distribution and marketing company Forbes Music Entertainment. Since the launch of Tilt Shift Records Nastyelgic has released
a total of 4 singles and sold over 200K cumulative streams and download units worldwide; breaking the Amazon top 100 charts on two occasions. He is
mostly known for giving today’s listener a taste
of 90’s hip hop with a blend of musical
elements from the modern
industry.
Bursting
onto the scene with
his debut single “Killin’
Hip Hop” in April, 2015 the young sensation received great acclaim from both critics and the hip hop community. With airplay in and out of the United States and praise raining down from dj’s around the globe. “Killin’ Hip Hop” was an instant success, also making the Hip Hop VIP Top 40 releases of 2015 and going platinum on the Nerve Dj’s network with over 10K spins.
Nastyelgic followed up his debut with the singles “Ali” featuring Pennsylvania rapper Blizz in November 2015. The single would add more fuel to the fire landing Nastyelgic at no.1 on Dj Scarface Radio and the Star Fleet Music hot picks of January 2016.
Nastyelgic continued to gain industry buzz in 2016
with the
release
of “The Come
Up,” which landed him
a slot on “Independent Stardom Vol. 5” of the Dj Whizz Kid “Welcome 2 The Future” mixtape series.
In anticipation to the release of his debut album “Back When Music Was,” Nastyelgic unveiled his new single “Come Wit Me,” featuring Tyreke Meade. “Come With Me” premiered August 12, 2016 featuring a stellar performance
from both artists over
an explosive club record produced by Jaronamo Beats.
“Come Wit Me” shows
the up and coming rapper Nastyelgic going back to his roots to work with producer Jaronamo Beats. The young producer,
who also happens to be the biological brother of Nastyelgic also produced his debut release “Killin Hip Hop,”undoubtedly his most successful release to date. and sold over 6K cumulative streams and download units in it’s first
3 weeks.
