Out the gate the first thing that is noticed about you is your long legs lol.. How tall are you? 5’6

You definitely have the build of a runway model, have you done any fashion shows or runway type events? Recently, I have been focusing on photo shoots and putting together a portfolio. I am also currently in Tallahassee, FL, in undergrad school, and unfortunately, there are not many opportunities here to pursue my modeling career. However, my hometown is Fort Lauderdale, and whenever I come home I am exploring such opportunities.

What’s your favorite thing about being a model? Wow! You cannot believe the extra boost of confidence modeling gives me. I am able to express my creativity in fashion & poses in a way that is totally unique to modeling.

How long have you been modeling and where do you want to go with it? I have been doing print modeling off and on for approximately two years now. I plan to go wherever it takes me.

What types of modeling styles do you do and feel completely comfortable shooting? High fashion, print, swimwear, urban wear, certain lingerie - though nothing too provocative. I keep it classy!

So I understand you are attending FAMU studying Biology. Interesting. Why this particular field and not something fashion related? I have always aspired to be well-rounded and not limit myself when stepping out into the fashion world. My major is actually Biology/Pre-dentistry; one of my goals is to become a highly fashionable orthodontist, and even in this profession I envision using my creativity in giving others that beautiful smile they have always wanted. I do not doubt that I can likewise incorporate - somehow - my major into my modeling.

What makes you different than the other models trying to come up in the game right now? I AM different because I am Daneshia Toomer, and there is no other like me. I portray and embrace my own sexy aura; my high cheek bones are unique; my creativity, concepts and ideas make me stand out from the rest.

To date, what has been your favorite overall shoot and why? Every shoot I go on is my favorite because I always have the opportunity to gain new experiences and ideas that help me grow and become an even better model. To put it simply, I am constantly becoming!

Besides modeling, what do you like to do for fun or excitement? I love to take photos with my digital camera! And I edit them! Shop until I drop! Movies! Going out to eat! And hanging out with special friends!

Do you have any projects in the works now that we should keep an eye out for? I am in the process of becoming a Jet Beauty of the Week. Be sure to keep an eye out for that, because - remember I told you I am fierce - with my fierce determination it will happen soon.

What are some of the things you dislike about the modeling industry? The fact that models have to be at least 5’8 to do runway shows. Although I am 5’6, know that I strut as if I am 5’8 or taller.

You have such an awesome unique look.. What does it take to maintain your look, style and shape? Thank you. My look and shape. It’s all genetics - LOL - no gym for me. My style, I borrow ideas from my Aunt Nedra - she’s truly a fashion goddess - and mix them with my own.

Who are some of your influences in the modeling industry today? Tyra Banks, of course, and Heidi Klum, two extremely successful and amazing ladies.

What are some of the things you would like to achieve in the modeling industry before your done? Short term: To become the premier Jet Beauty of the Week. Then on to high fashion shoots for upcoming and top designers. Print work for upcoming as well as top magazines. I would love to be a Cover Girl and Walk in The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

If you could change one thing about yourself or your life, what would it be and why? I wouldn’t change anything about myself. I love just the way God created me! I embrace everything about myself and make it work for me.
