Nine5Four The Magazine Broward County All-Stars: Don SonBorn in Miami, on August 12, 1988 quickly moving over to Miramar Florida, Kentroy “Don Son” Black live there all his life.. Raised by his mother but father was nothing but a phone call or a flight away. Although he is a Florida boy Don Son was also of Jamaican and Bahamian decent. Having the mentality of his father he never slept on a way to make a dollar. Growing up as a Don’s Son he was always more fortunate than others, until times got hard he quickly turned to the streets as a way out. Growing up the Miramar rapper always had dreams of being a big time producer. Going from studio to studio finally one day stepping into the booth and creating the hit single “Miramar life”, which the streets named the Miramar anthem. Getting great feedback on his 1st single Don Son quickly decided to pursue a career as a rapper/hip hop artist. Since then he has been grinding and working hard to put his city on the map. Currently working on his 1st mixtape named “Miramar da Outlawed Empire” set to release December 2009, Don Son was influenced by 2pac, Biggie Smalls, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, young jezzy, Stashwork, and Mr.M- Zone. His motivations are his son kymani and all the haters out there. Working hard on the same path of grind and dedication toward what he does will one day land the son of a don to be the don of the charts.
