Born in Dallas, Texas. Got my start at Charley O’s in Tyler, Texas. Transferred to Monrovia, California to open up Rio!. Then moved back to Dallas and worked at Tijuana Yacht Club and Baja Beach Club. In 1990 opened the Baja Beach Club in Coconut Grove. One year later, opened the Baja Beach Club in Ft. Lauderdale. I then worked at Cafe Iguana at Beach Place, Coconut Grove and Pembroke Pines, Bermuda Bar in N. Miami Beach. In 2008, opened America’s Backyard and loving every minute of it.

At What moment did you know this was your calling?

My roommate in college was a DJ where I was bartending and saw how much fun it looked. I was hooked.

What DJ do you look up to? Why?

Sam Kennedy, because he gave me my start. Dale Malone, because he taught me so much about how to be a DJ.

Is this your dream job? If no then what is? HELL YES!!

What’s your most embarrassing, funniest, or Worst DJ story?

I once wore only a sock (ala Red Hot Chili Peppers) while DJing.
