Well its a family thing Tuggie and Curly are brothers and we're all cousin's besides that you know Kraggi-T JPrince, so the history goes back far we don't have enough time for that. Lol!


EXPLAIN THE NAME BAD RASTA?

Well in a sense the name BadRasta is a oxymoron. Just pre this Rasta can't be bad because it's love
and righteousness we preach. So them ask how the bad forward in? simply don't take us for clowns, if a sound bwoy (Dj) dises BadRasta tell them to prepare to die. When we say die we mean in sound clash not literally.


WHAT SEPARATES BAD RASTA FROM THE HUNDREDS OF SOUNDS IN SOUTH FLORIDA? WHAT ELEMENT DOES THE SOUND BRING

You Can say our versatility because no matter what type of crowd we're going to play for the people, we play everything from reggae to r&b hip hop even pop, rock ect....... we play for the people. Also just the vibes we carry just makes the party seem just a little bit more hype.


I NOTICE THAT YOU GUYS ARE REAL HUMBLE PEOPLE. MOST SELECTORS DONT DO HALF OF WHAT YOU GUYS DO AND THEY WALK AROUND LIKE THEY ARE BETTER THEN EVERYBODY...HOW ARE YOU GUYS ABLE TO REMAIN HUMBLE EVEN WITH THE HYPE?

It's a mentality, No man is better than the next.


I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU GUYS HAVE RECENTLY RECRUITED A NEW MEMBER TO THE SOUND. WHAT UNIQUE SKILL DOES EACH MEMBER OF THE SOUND BRING TO THE TABLE?

Well JPrince bings the hip hop flavor to the sound formally of 103.5 the beat when it was hip hop. Tuggie Style brings the cazy sick vibes, Kraggi-T on the 1's and 3's(turntables) with the crazy mixing and CurlyRas the Mad Scientist. That all me a say.

I HAVE HEARD YOU GUYS ON THE RADIO BEEN TO YOUR PARTIES AND I AM REALLY IMPRESSED ON THE VERSATILITY OF THE SOUND. THIS IS A FAIRLY YOUNG SOUND AGE WISE, SO HOW DO YOU GUYS KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT FOUNDATION TUNES?

Its because of how we grow up still. Hearing our parents listening to the music and that's where our interest in music developed.


HOW DOES A YOUNG SOUND DEAL WITH THE POLITICS OF THE BUSINESS? IN MY OPINION YOU GUYS ARE ONE O F THE BEST IN SOUTH FLORIDA, BUT PROMOTERS GO WITH THE SAME OLD SOUNDS. THE BLACK CHYNEYS, THE RENEGADES AND SO ON. HOW DO U DEAL WITH IT?

Well BadRasta is all about the music so we do really try get mixed up in politics. All we can do is play the music people love and the promoters will see that. You know it all about the party vibes so when BadRasta plays the people them just come out to enjoy themselves.


WHO ARE SOME SOUNDS(Dj crews) THAT YOU LOOK UP TO?

I respect Sounds like Stone Love who set the foundation for other sound today and you cant leave out Tony Matterhorn who set the standard for all reggae Dj's today.Last but not least Renaissance Who first startes with the remix thing.


I KNOW YOU GUYS DO IT ALL FROM FLYERS TO PARTIES....TALK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE?

You know its all about creativity and versatility, So when we say "Were all about the music" we're talking everything from making riddims(beats), playing music, remixing song, producing artists to web design and graphic art basically any thing the involve music.


IF EACH OF U COULD AGREE ON GETTING ONE DUB(SPECIALIZED SONG) FROM ANY ARTIST, WHO WOULD IT BE ?

It would have to be the Great Bob Marley.


WHAT ARTIST DO U GUYS FEEL IS THE NEXT BIG ARTIST OUT OF JAMAICA?

(CurlyRas) I would have to say it would be Ky-Enie form big yard label. him have a vibes bringing back the foundation with a youth full twist.

(Kraggi-T) Well i would say it would be the artist name Wasp. Just check out his mix tape the Buzz the thing bad.
