What is your best physical feature? I would have to say my hands because I’m able to create through them.

How do you keep in such great shape? I work with trainer Kevin Lilly who has me doing weight training about three times a week and cardio almost every other day. I’ve had to learn to love the stair master and box jumps.

Do you have any pets? If so what kind? I have a black and white cat named Fonzy. She likes to hide out and playfully attack me when I’m caught off guard. Fonzy’s probably the feistiest cat I’ve ever seen.

On what occasion do you think it’s okay to lie? I think that it’s okay when one’s personal safety can be protected through a lie. Generally speaking though, a lie doesn’t really do anyone much justice. I think that most of the time we lie because we feel like we’re protecting someone from the truth. In reality we’re really depriving another of an opportunity to grow beyond the expectations of others.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? My idea of perfect happiness is a state of being where all you need is contained within that very moment and nothing else matters.

What three things would you take with you to a deserted island? I would take my camera, a wilderness cook book, and a friend.

How did you get into modeling and where has modeling taken you thus far? Initially I started off sitting in for other photographers I knew as a test subject. After I got my photo studio, I’d have the urge to shoot in the middle of the night but had no one to call on as a model on such late notice. It was at those times that I would do self portraits as I was exploring lighting. Eventually, I developed a portfolio and got print and commercial representation. I have since left my former agency and have booked runway and commercial print work independently.

What do you like most about modeling and why are you pursuing it so vigorously? I love the fact that you walk into a shoot as a blank canvas and become a medium for several different artists to express themselves through. I’ve been very lucky to work with some amazing makeup artists, hair stylists, and photographers and really enjoy the collaborative nature of a photo shoot.

Tell us, who are some of the models you look up to as a guide? I love Lara Stone, Chanel Iman, and Agyness Deyn to name a few. I wouldn’t say that I look to anyone as a guide but see them more as points of inspiration.

What type of model would you want to be labeled as in the industry? I don’t want to pigeonhole myself into just one category. I love the creative freedom and abstraction involved in editorial shoots. However, I also enjoy commercial shoots.

What types of modeling jobs would you consider doing and what jobs are off the list completely? I would consider doing jobs that honor beauty, fashion, and/or individualism.

How would a guy impress you on a first date? A guy would impress me by being himself and putting some forethought into the date. It’s always fun to do a new exciting activity on a first date too.

What do you look for in selecting a partner? Trust, confidence, respect, passion, and love.

Do you have any special skills or hobbies? Professionally, I’m a photographer and digital artist. Recently, I picked up a book and learned some very basic web design for my site. I also love hiking and just went skydiving for the first time. I’m hoping to get involved with some more outdoor activities.

Do you have any upcoming projects that you would like to share? I’m in the midst of several big photo shoots but am not at liberty to share much yet. All I can say is stay tuned!

What was the craziest thing that has happened to you on a shoot? I had to jump up a chain link fence for one shoot and got stuck. I got down pretty quickly but I’m sure it was entertaining to watch.

What got you into modeling? Sitting in as a test subject for other photographers.
